The NASCAR Cup Series 2023 event, the FireKeepers Casino 400, will take place on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Since 1969, the race has been held annually at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. The NASCAR Michigan race contested more than 200 laps around the track.

The circuit has traditionally hosted two Cup Series races: one in June, during Father's Day weekend, and another in August. Roger Penske, the owner of the track, decided to replace the August race with a Champ Car event; hence, it was not held in 1973. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, both races were held in 2020 over a single weekend in August. The June event was eliminated from the schedule in 2021 as part of the reorganization, and Texas Motor Speedway was allocated its spot on the schedule to host the All-Star event.

Over the years, the races have had a variety of corporate sponsors, and the 2022 event was called the FireKeepers Casino 400. The race's defending champion is Kevin Harvick.
