The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series 39 - race schedule has been announced, it features two new tracks and many race date adjustments at existing tracks. Two new tracks highlight the schedule below: The season-opening exhibition race The Clash will be shifted from Daytona International Speedway to the Los Angeles Coliseum purpose-built quarter-mile track.
For the first time, World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in St. Louis host the Cup Series race and replace Pocono Raceway dates. Before this, the World Wide Technology Raceway was long part of the Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series schedules.
For the first time in 10 years, the NASCAR race The Clash will play at the Coliseum. The race will happen one week before Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, and two weeks before the most prestigious race Daytona 500. The Bristol Motor Speedway's Dirt Race will be shifted to Easter Sunday night on 17 April 2022. Since 1989, for the first time, the NASCAR Cup Series will happen on Easter day, when a blizzard forced a Richmond race postponed from February to the following week.
The Homestead-Miami Speedway will be back on its traditional schedule in the fall, shifted to 23 October for the second race of playoffs Round of 8.
Texas Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway exchanged their playoff dates, Texas race will commence on 25 September and will be the first race of round 12, and Las Vegas will be the first race of round 8. The Texas Motor Speedway All-Star Race runs from early June through May 22nd.
