In 1998 Michigan International Speedway was first established and it is a two-mile (3.2 km) D-shaped speedway. Although, Michigan is famous for high banking, the 18 degrees in the corners, 12 degrees at the start/finish line, and 5 degrees down the backstretch. The Michigan International Speedway is a fastest race track on the NASCAR schedule because of its long straightaways, sweeping corners and wide.
